"Theology contributes nothing to society, within a hundred years, if theology disappeared, nothing will happen."
Holy Jesus Christ! What... Theology, is important, as much as music is. It is the study of religion. A rational & systematic discipline. It contributed much to understanding the Bible, as it actually is. So shut up Dawkins.
How did I become a free thinker ? Wow. That is a loaded question. LOL.
I was raised loosely a Christian.
The only time I saw the inside of a church was when I would go with a friend's family.
I tried a bit harder with my children to give them a Christian upbringing.
Then my 10-yr marriage ended.
I started smoking cigarettes.
I accepted Islam.
I went overseas and married a Muslim.
I dove head first into Islam.
I should have taken baby steps.
Islam to me was Christianity without the confusion.
I understood it and in my heart felt I finally found the truth.
Then uncle sam would not allow my husband to live in the US with me.
Very slowly I have been in the process of letting go of Islam.
And my husband.
My son has introduced me to evolution.
Now I question how do Islam and evolution fit together.
Am I a free thinker ?
I think so.
